An interview with my mentor: Steve Salisbury

Awhile ago, I mentioned to my mentor, Steve Salisbury, that I was going to be on a podcast (this one, to be specific). As he and I talked, we realized that we both wanted to learn more about podcasting and interviewing, and we decided the best way to do that would be to sit down and record ourselves interviewing each other!

So, my blog post this week is a shameless plug for the interview that I recorded with Steve. What’s awesome about Steve is that he is an absolute expert on change management, organizational culture and leadership, and he walked me through his critique of the current “Great Resignation” dialog. To Steve, what's happening is not a Great Resignation- it’s a crisis in leadership. He drops some major knowledge and insights in this interview, and I am delighted to share it with all of you via the magic of my blog and YouTube.

Another shameless plug that I want to make is that Steve and I got connected through the SCORE organization, who [in their words] is, “dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship.” Steve’s guidance and perspective has been instrumental in helping me get my business launched, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have him in my corner. If any other entrepreneurs are reading this, I highly recommend finding yourself a SCORE mentor.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Steve is one of many influential mentors I’ve had in my life… Would you be interested in hearing interviews with more of them? Shoot me a DM or leave me a comment here with your thoughts on whether you’d like to see more interviews like this.
